Hi fellows,

I need to get the algae Isochrysis galbana for feeding seaslugs. Do you know a good seller which is honest and fast? As I need it for a scientifical project I a shop that produces them in always the same quality.
The best would be a shop in australia but ever other idea is good as well.
thanks for your ideas

If you're doing it for a science thing, its prolly best (and cheapest) to culture it yourself.

Dunno how much shipping is on livestock all the way across the world, but is this (http://cgi.ebay.com/Live-Phytoplankton-20oz-Nannochloropsis-and-Isochrysis_W0QQitemZ260031635103QQihZ016QQcategory Z20759QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem) what you had in mind?

I don't know anything about growing your own, but my guess is it can't be extremely difficult (i'm prolly wrong).

Algagen (http://www.algagen.com/home.htm) is a TR sponsor and could help you but I don't know if they ship worldwide.

It's great to have you join our family. A nice mix of reefers here.

thanks to the fast replies and the welcome greets!

As I dont have time and resources I cant grow them by myself. I also saw the auction on ebay but I cant be sure about the quality which makes it more difficult to handle.

I wrote Algagen but they didnt answer yet .

You have any other idea???
I would really apreciate this.

Thanks

Johannes

What are you using it for, exactly? Besides feeding seaslugs :) Cause if you need it to be the same quality and are only going to be using it for a short period of time, you could just order a lot from one source and keep it until you're done with whatever experiment you're doing.
