What do folk normally use for an ATO pump? I'm guessing somethign pretty small...

I thought this was neat since it wouldn't hurt it to run dry (in case your resivour emptied).

Any other pumps that would be OK to run dry for a short period?

I was looking at an ATO that could shut off after a few minutes of pumping to prevent this situation also. would most pumps be ok for jsut a couple minutes dry?

I used a Hydor Pico pump. It was cheap and it has worked well. Here is a link to the thread.

i use a MJ 400, it has run dry for 2 a whole day without a problem, but i woudl recommend it.. ;)

its good, and cheap. and its made for to deal with the on/off/on/off/on/off... etc. that comes with the ATO system
