i listened to the nigt viewing show and it said that moonlights were ok for viewing but i was concerned because i have 8 white moon lights on a 125 which seems a bit bright. will this effect the animals adversely or can i still look at night?

The white light replaces the glow of the moon so just think if there was a full moon, that is the look you created. Are the bulbs small LED lights?

You shouldn't have any worries.
If you find that your fish aren't sleeping and hiding in the rocks at night, then I might be concerned, but my fish will sleep with actinics sometimes which is much brighter than moon lights.

Moon lights are usually blue and present soft moonlite night effect. I can't imagine white moonlights.

White moon lights are pretty cool looking. however a friend of mine has a 125gal tank and he has 4 white LED's on his. Not sure what 8 look like but i have always thought 4 were perfect for his.

The nano light fixture has both white (4) and blue (4), and the 72g fixture has 4 white moon lights.
