you can probably start getting some in there at anytime.. i dont see it causing any harm. and it will help reduce the nitrates towards the end of your cycle

i have a hang on back fuge. what would be the recommended length of the photo period during the day. too bright for nightime.

your should be fine to run it the full length of your tank photoperiod

i added the algae to my fuge but now i have some brown algae all over the tank including on the algae i just bought. should i be concerned or is this normal during cycling.

yep, its a diatom bloom, totally normal during the cycle
