I need an auto top off. I was looking at a few of the float swiches on aquahub.com but I DO NOT want to do any DIY-ing. Any Ideas on where I could get a float swich where you dont have to do any wireing. I already have the pump (aqualifter).

marine depot has floats that are plug and play but there around $70. i just ordered mine from aquahub to save cost.

I used to use the Tunze (http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_dosing_pumps_top_off_tunze_osmolator.asp? CartId=) auto top-off and was quite happy with it. It's pretty easy to set up.

Ouch the Tunze setup isn't so easy on the wallet. I think I am just going to let gravity do it's thing.

I just picked up the JBJ auto top off on eBay for about $90 shipped. I haven't installed it yet, but it appears to be well built and easy enough to use.

bernie,
is the JBJ ATO a complete top off unit, i mean do you need to add anything besides a pump?

Well guys and gals, I installed it tonight. Works like a charm, so far so good atleast... :D

Rob to answer your question, the only things you have to add are a bucket, pipe to get the water to the tank, and a pump. The kit comes with the controller, two float switches and all the hangy thingies so you dont have to use suction cups...
