Greetings!!!
I recently purchased a Naso Tang form my LFS. The Tang was eating fine at the pet store. He was shy for the first two days in my tank but has since become the show piece I wanted. Problem is when I feed the tank he takes a bite of some food and then spits it out. I feed a combo of Mysid, Formula2, Reefblend and cyclopeze. I usually rotate this food and only feed one cube once a day. I also do not have a specific time that I feed because of work. I think the Naso does get some food but I am worried that he is not fully nourished. I also think that he might be competing with some of the other fish. The Naso is by far the biggest fish I have in my tank but does not seem to take the role of pack leader. I know I made the mistake and did not do research before purchasing this fish but I got it for $20 and it seemed very healthy. Am I feeding enough or do I need a regular schedule or both. The Naso still has great color and like I said is out al the time.

Fish List ( I know overstocked)
1 Yellow tang
1 Hippo Tang
1 Six Line
2 Clowns
1 Yellow Belly Damsel
1 Coral Beauty Angel
1 Royal gramma
1 Naso Tang

The LFS employee fed Mysis shrimp the day I got it.

veggie is very important part of their diet.. (to all tangs) so feeding nori sheets is something you should be doing...

also, keep in mind that the new fish might take 1-3 weeks before it starts eating normally again.. especially with those to her fish, its likely getting intimidated and respecting the others territory. Tangs can be quite agressive

Thanks Gwen and Rob!
I usually give Nori twice a week so mabye I will go to three times per week. I always find it stuck to my powerheads or I would keep some in there full time.
On another note the Naso and the Yellow tang seem to have forged a friendship. They almost have a schooling like swim and follow each other around the tank. For a moment I thought I saw my Hippo tang join in as well.
