When I was at my LFS I overheard two people talking about how well frogspawn does in the tank setting... but how it does REALLY well when fed directly once every month.

1. How would I do that?

2. How often? Is the one time per month correct?

Get some cyclopeeze and squirt the food with a turkey baster. You can turn the pumps off if you want the full effect.

You could feed it once per week if you wanted too or not at all. It's up to you. I just feed my fish, and the corals eat what's floating around. It's rare I directly try to feed my corals.

What are cyclopeeze? How about brine shrimp? Would they work well too?

usually you don't have to feed frogspawn directly. You can try to use like gwen stated with Cyclops eze or oyster eggs etc, but if it produces a slime coat then I wouldn't feed them directly anymore since you are olny agitating it.

My clown fish love this stuff.

My fish don't seem to touch the stuff but my blastos and lords devour it. Gwen, do you soak yours before feeding?

Not really. I just mix it with a few cups of water and shoot it at the corals.

I always have to blend mine up before I put it in the tank otherwise it floats. Jeff you can also get cyclops eze frozen too.

We may have different kinds. I have the can of stuff that is a small red powder. I do keep it in the freezer.

I have the same stuff that you posted above except I store mine in the fridge.

i find the frozen cyclop-eeze is much easier to use, and eaten better.

as for the frog spawn you can try using small pieces of clam squid, or even table shrimp.

I was taking pictures of other stuff today, and thought I might get a couple of the FS. Personally, I think it's a great specimen... hope you enjoy!

Thanks! I am very proud of that piece... wish it was a green tip, but beautiful nonetheless. Seems like it is expanding more and more every day!

I target feed my Frog Spawn about once a month. I don't really keep track just target feed several corals when I think of it. I believe it helps. Several of the corals emit a slime when I do the feeding but they look really good after their done. Here's one of my two Frog Spawn corals.

They are one of the easier corals to keep and one of my favorite LPS along with the similar Hammer coral.
