Hello there all. I just got back from the new lfs and was astonished by some of the things they had, particularly some neon shrooms. they were healthy and cheap, but i didnt know if they would work in my tank.

I have a couple questions

1. do they have high light requirements, cuz he had some in a tank with mh lights and the really good looking ones in a tank with only t5.

2. Will they overtake other corals, i have zoos, and a green tipped hammer

Can u be more specific when you say mushroom? Most mushrooms like lower light levels- don't usually need MHs.

yea, need to be a bit more specific,
if they are like the ones in the first picture Gwen posted, they will like more light to keep there color, but shrooms like these arent exactly cheap.

yeah sorry about that, they are definitely not ricordea (if only i had the lights, or room....) or the second shrooms she posted either (they may be the same type of shroom i dont know really). It is like the shrooms posted in this pic yet has green stripes instead of red, sorry i didnt specify :(

I would say go for lower light levels. They aren't gonna like MH's.

If you have PC lighting, you can have ricordea.
