1/4" x 1/4" holed rigid mesh clear fiberglass ??

This is for a friend for the top of his tank- he had a fish jump through the eggcrate.

Thanks!

not sure if you want to do this but there is a pet store in dayton ohio that have eggcrate rapped in plastic screen door screen. somehow they found the screen in white too.

you probably could, but i would hate to be the person drilling all the holes lol

im not sure what you could use. you might just be able to find some type of plastic ladis from a diferent use. or maybe just stack two sections of eggcrates together but staggered enuff to create a 1/4 opening.. but ten you would probably be higher than your tank, not sure how that would look.. wish i could help ya more....

Oh yea Welcome to Talking Reef :)

I think IF I can find the right type ( I know there is a type out there that doesn't kill the light too much) I'd have to take it to work and run a water jet proggie, might take a few minutes to do 300 holes but /shrug what my boss don't know wont hurt me :D

Yeah, the one at work runs at 10,500 PSI we use it mostly for cutting 1+ inch thick steel or doing pattern work on the thinner stuff where it's just tons faster even if we end up doing custom trimming afterwards. Would just have to measure up the piece decide spacing and pop the numbers into the comp and let it go to town.

What annoys me is we have an industial RO/DI that puts out 500 gallons an hour to run the thing but because it's so high preasure even in the storage tanks I can't drain out the 15 gallons a week I need for water changes :(

i have been told that clear ABS cuts down the least amount of light.
