I 'm just going to start including my tank shot with every post so people will be able to remember. Let me know if this is a drag - I will be updating the photo occasionally.
I traded two Xenia for $10 credit each and so I traded for a rock that had two green mushrooms (one nickle-size, the other a little bigger than a quarter), and about 10 small neon green button polyps, the little quarter-inch ones.
Updated Soft coral list:
orange ric.
yellow polyps
brown pulsing xenia
green mushroom
green button polyps
I need some coral plugs for the Xenia. I think I could bring in four frags at once if I'm lucky.
One frag I had got sucked into the powerhead of my mixing tank, so I lost that one. I call it a frag, but I never translpanted it - just broke the rock.
I looked up what ZeoVit was after the last podcast. Sounds more like a way of life or an attitude than an actual product, most of which is probably already done by the average reefer. Of course I don't run carbon lately and never mind zeolite. But softies are not as picky about water quality anyway from what I've heard, and my cellar sees plenty of "contamination" so forget the whole idea for me. I only want to spend money on salt right now anway - nothing else. I've got a little red cyano coming back after increasing my nutrients through flake food, as expected, so I may run carbon after the next water change.
..and Happy Fourth to everyone!!!!!
We missed the fireworks because they didn't start till 10:30 and the wife and kids were really tired from visiting some salt marshes.
I saw on Yahoo today that the coral in Florida near the Keys is doing really poorly lately with 3 major hurricanes and white plague disease too. They call it a disease, but man is the disease.
