My little nano is a HUGE distraction. I come home from work and start peeking at it, and an hour later, I'm still there and haven't gotten anything done that I need to get done!!
I played in both tanks tonite- did a water change on the 72, fragged a little, cleaned the main pump- all sorts of fiddling :) veriann 06-30-2006, 11:32 PM yeah i sit there for about 15min stretches at a time, but when my tanks where in their prime a few hours would go by! the wife even brought my dinners to the formal dinning table cause i wouldn't move from that seat wwest 06-30-2006, 11:36 PM oh that is cool. and i did alot on my tank tonight too added to my rock alittle more, added a third lunar light and cleaned the sand bed some.. and then sat. sat there for probably 20 minutes trying to decide in my head how to do a sump on my tank :) im hooked bad.. gwen_o_lyn 06-30-2006, 11:46 PM im hooked bad..

Those dang lights are too bright. You know how after a while everything you see starts to get hazy, I think its called reef-eyeballitis.:o sailfin 07-03-2006, 05:10 PM yeah, its addictive. next laptop....i'm gonna find a waterproof one! lol
Waterproof laptop....hmmm good idea but carrying the laptop around involves efforts I am too lazy to make so I set up the tank in the den opposite the computer. Once I get my brand new shiny IMac, I'll be able to do all sorts of things even setup a webcam of the aquarium so I can check up on it during the day.
Oh dear.... I'm really terminal, aren't I :rotfl:

remember, the main thing is now that you have a support network. never hide your addiction in a closet. come foward, speak up, and be embraced by others with the same guilt...............lol :rotfl: CarmieJo 07-19-2006, 12:22 AM Go over and look at your support person's tank, come home and watch your own. fat walrus 07-19-2006, 12:27 AM :rotfl: :| Go over and look at your support person's tank, come home and watch your own.
isn't that counter-productive for an addiction?!?! :o   :yikes: DJGonzo69 07-19-2006, 11:49 AM My wife & I are reef-aholics too. We are surrounded by our tanks. In the living room we have the 30gal tank right beside the couch. When we watch TV during commercials I would look at the tank. When you go to the kitchen we have the 12gal tank in there. So when I'm cooking dinner I would glance at the tank once in a while just to see what's going on. In our bedroom we have the 40gal tank right beside my side of the bed. I like the blue mood lighting when the moon light come on..LOL. We are so used to the sounds of the pumps & skimmers that we don't hear it anymore. Infact if there is a power failure & all is quiet it actually wakes me up..hahaha go figure. On the computer room right beside the PC we have a 10 gal tank. So wherever we go we have a tank to look at. I guess that makes us reef-aholics :-) CarmieJo 07-19-2006, 08:36 PM But I love to look at my tank and yours and yours and yours... |
