Doesn't Dick give ya that warm and fuzzy feeling?? What a sweetie!! Amphibious 07-03-2006, 09:25 AM Thank you, Gwenn. I come by it naturally because of my parents.
When I was just a kid, my Mother was always happy and went out of her way to make everyone around her feel good. I asked her one day why she was always so happy and her response stuck with me to this day. She said, "I'm too busy to be unhappy and I like it when other people think I did some little thing to make them happy". I learned a life lesson from her that day. And many others over the years. Here's another that comes to mind. My best friend was a neighborhood bully. I had to be his best friend. He kicked the tar out of everyone that wasn't his friend. My mother said to me many times, "Don't be a bully like him, be a friend to everyone. You are his only friend but, you will have many friends". So, I grew up watching my mother bestow kindness on others and I guess it stuck with me. She was right about my friend. He lives the life of a recluse, alone, without friends, male of female. Me? I'm blessed with many friends and you know at least one of them. http://www.theculturedreef.com/11D0CC~1.GIF http://www.theculturedreef.com/01F0B5~1.GIF

Traffic was surprisingly light. We thought it would be bad but we made it home in less time than average. :) fat walrus 07-06-2006, 12:55 AM Traffic was surprisingly light. We thought it would be bad but we made it home in less time than average. :)

:rotfl: LMAO CarmieJo 07-07-2006, 09:52 PM I will say that in the county over from where I grew up there is a large Amish community. There they pave extra wide berms on the roads for buggies. |
