I was just wondering, does anyone think it would be possible to cut a mushroom or two off this rock and it live during shipping? if packaged right?
or on something like this should the hole rock be sent?

you have to cut the mushrooms of first and let it heal before shipping.

aaahhhh ok so what heal time is normaly a day or two?

i would give it a least a week to heal and settle back time before stressing it out again with shipping.

so what about when you buy like a colony off the net arnt those attached to rocks during shipping?

yes, most of the time they are attached....although some will become detached during shipping. you can ship the entire rock, but i was under the impression that you were trying to sell only a few mushrooms off the rock. many people will want the loose mushroom preattached to a rock before shipping because it will aclimate better and faster. i know i hate dealing with loose mushrooms because of more work for me.

ok its my bad i was just wondering which way would be easiest or sugested. and you answered my question :-) i was thinking about posting them for trade but didnt know if i should post the hole rock or just a few mushrooms. thanks FW again you have helped me :-)

if you are actually trying to make money, cut the mushroom off and attach it. a new mushroom will grow back from the tissue left on the original rock.

not really i have another rock with the same mushrooms on it. i was just thinking about putting up for trade on here.

okay. then cushion the rock well so it does not roll and slam around to damage the mushrooms.
