but calcium additives are fairly expensive at least that I have seen that is why I am looking and thinking. Rob knows me pretty well and know me and DIY is well dangerous for me lol :roll: figured this would be a good think to start thinking about it and go from there. Btwrob tank is looking good added allot of cool stuff including my 1st clam and some nice corals I got a very small frag of superman or super monti I am hoping does well one reason for thinking of the calc reactor also working on a refuge this week if I get the help from Jakem on MR

a cheaper alternative is dosing kalk. this is really cheap if you use pickling lime to make the kalk...

i am also thinking about making a kalk reactor (as i mentioned in the last post), i will call you tmw and maybe we can set sumthing up, and i can make two. then you can have one.. :)

i have LOADS of pickling lime, so if you want i can give you some if you need it... the stuffs real cheap, i order a case online so i have lots.
