lol.. just kidding...

but wanted to send out my congrats to bushboy for reaching 1000 posts.
although blubber guts got there first.. ;)

Veriann,
while your mouth was a little sour in the begining, and it used to take me 3 reads before i understood what you were saying, i have become fluent in bushboy speak, and i really do enjoy the humor.

Beyond your goofiness, and upside down jokes, i wanted to say that you are a very valuable community member, when you pull out of goofy mode your advice is so full of useful and knowledgeable info. i truly enjoy and learn from your posts.

not to mention your invaluable contribution to the link database.

so my hats off to you Mr Link man, Aka bushboy :hat:
thanks for being here and being part of our community
and congrats on reaching the big 1000

hey thanks u guys *sniff* i feel kinda young still for reaching 1000, i guess its all the slushi drinks from 7/11 freezing parts of my body which keeps me looking so buff!
wow, 1000 posts, thats alot of goofing off! lol
now ive just got to build a time machine to go back and smear some crunchy peanut butter in blubs modem so i can get afew extra post in on my old friend while he's in slow motion! if i had of known about ruling the known universe via yogi's teachings i would have listen when he told me to rub tunafish all over my body as a human decoy! Arrrr but the young do not always do as they are told!
come to think of it, i think he said the first one to 2000 becomes a genie!
ive got that covered, cause even with magic, there's not a snow balls chance in hell ur fitting blubber in a bottle!

all jokes aside, i love it here, & have one last word for everyone to plonder before i leave TR

Ability is what you're capable of doing...
Motivation determines what you do...
Attitude determines how well you do it.

damn it, i tried, but they dont call us Talking Reef Junkies for nothing!

ive never given it much tought that it was an aussie thing/word .ha, go figure!
they are orsome in bread rolls as a burger pattie

Thanks. Is the meat beef?
forget the beef, who needs breadcrumbs around a hamburger patty? it sounds like crab cakes!

V
06-28-2006, 02:48 AM
yes carmie, minced beef, mix some egg yolk, fav sauce. roll it into balls then roll that in breadcrumbs.
i would only do light breadcrumb cause it burns easy!

its not as flat as a meat pattie, i dont even think its meant to replace a meat pattie per say! its just a rissole! cheap mans feed, but cooked well its a great eddition to any bbq

walrus is right though, breadcrumbs shouldn't be anywhere near a hamburger pattie> just a shame it tastes so good blubber, the taste u would miss out on....lol

Yeah but my hubby has never cooked meatloaf on the grill. And we cook out several times a week. DH is allergic to eggs we will have to see if we can come up with an alternative binder and give it a try.

I liked both sites V. I'll have to tell my husband about the beets on burgers, he loves beets. I think they taste like dirt. But I do like boiled eggs pickled in beet juice and vinegar. :)

Guys, these were the good old days,Somethings been missing for awhile now i feel, so ive been sporadicly checking old listings. It didn't help though, cause i just realised we used to have alot more dailey fun as a group.

Im serious now, we've all got to have regular contact again, we've sort of lost touch abit i think because life got in the way.

Of course you are right, Veriann, we got too serious about our reefing and helping our budding reefers here on TR. While reading the Auzzie Alphabet linked above, I swear I detected a slight Auzzie accent in my mind. In the recipe link, those Rissoles are good old grilled American hamburgers, aren't they? That would make it easy for me to assimilate into the Auzzie way of life. I'm a bit worried about the blood settling into my brain walking upside down all the time, though. :tongue2: :rotfl:

Joiyz-zee, as in New Joiyz-zee or in english New Jersey. But if you live in or are from New Jersey you pronounce it, Joiyz-zee. Kind of like you Aussies when you say ga-day, when you actually mean, good day. Got it Bush Boy?

Sorry i have not been around peeps, I tell ya, been extremely busy with my new venture down here. I believe a picture speaks a thousand words.....

Well i thought it was funny!

So anyways, the real reason is ive defected to the dark side of the force - going biotope freshwater again. Kinda like polar opposite - full acidic this time.

I know somewhere deep down my annoying presence is being missed.

So brief stop over to say hello, stink up your bathroom, raid the fridge, then im off again ok.
