With the one year anniversary of the Talkingreef podcast quickly approaching, i am commemorating the event with a contest to raffle off an iPod.

Contest Details
During the month of July we will be selling raffle tickets to win this iPod. You can get your tickets at any time until the end of July. In the beginning of August (the 1 year anniversary) i will be releasing a video podcast where i sill draw the winner and announce who it is.

How to Enter
From today until 11:59 Eastern on July 31st you can buy raffle tickets for $5 each.
This will work like a normal raffle only electronically. Every ticket you buy will be one E-Ticket, and another chance to win. You can buy as many tickets as you want.

All tickets sales will be done exclusively through paypal, sorry, no exceptions

How the winner will be chosen
After the contest closes, i will take a list with all the contest entries. this list will be cut up and placed into a container. at this point i will be working with my daughter who will draw the lucky winner. The entire process will be video taped. only the final drawing will be released as an episode, but i will have the entire video available to anyone who wished to confirm the validity of the drawing process.

Added bonuses
1.) If you are a current "Premium/Contributing Member" you will receive a free entry when you buy a ticket. So if you buy one (or 5) you get one free.

2.) For every 5 tickets you buy you get one for free
buy 5, got 1 free
buy 10, got 2 free
buy 20, got 4 free
and so on

So, if you are a contributing member and spend $25 you will get your 5 regular tickets + 1 bonus tickets + 1 contributing member ticket, for a total of 7 tickets

Confirming your entry
After ordering your tickets you will receive an email from me, confirming your total number of entries. due to potentially high volumes, please allow 24 hours for this confirmation from me. It will be your responsible to confirm your entries and there accuracy.

A full video of the entire drawing process in an unedited form will be available by request only. If you feel this is not sufficient to rule out foul play, please exclude yourself from entering. Any disputes of the drawing MUST be made in writing to me (podcast@talkingreef.com) VIA electronic mail within 5 (five) days of the winner being announced. No disputes will be accepted after 5 (five) days of the winner being announced. All entrees are final unles this contest is contests gets canceled for legal or other reasons out of my control in which case all entry fees will be refunded in full, however, no entry fees will be refunded if you decide you no longer wish to enter. Just want to clarify how the bonus tickets work.
for every 5 (five) tickets you buy (5 tickets =$25)
you get your 5 tickets plus 1 bonus ticket

sorry, due to reducing overhead, only through paypal.
however, using paypal, you can make payment with all major credit cards or directly from checking or savings account as an E-Check.

not cheaper, but easier for me to manage. Having all the info in one place allows me one place to keep track of things, and an easy way to check and double check the accuracy of peoples information against my own records

I think it would be neat if you pre-loaded all the Talkingreef episodes on there in advande so it truly is a Talkingreef ipod.

i can include a DVD with all the episodes if the winner wants it. the problem is that an iPod can only be synced with one computer.

if i sync it with my computer and transfer all the episodes to it, as soon as you connect it to your computer they will be deleted and replaced with your own contents.

OK, I am in for $20. All I was going to do with it was blow it on coral anyway!

Rob's correct about the synchronizing and loosing what's on the ipod. Unless you can disable the sync in iTunes before you plug it in. Then get another program to pull all the content off the ipod to your computer. Then let iTunes sync, erase everything on the ipod, then you add in what you pulled off via the 3rd party program.

I've done this before....But it'd be easier to just get the DVD and load them up yourself. :)

i realy dont understand why it works this way, if u set the rules before before u USB connect your Ipod. set everything to manual before hand in preference, transfer or leave any collection u have on the ipod once its connected. the source codes are the same for the eposodes.
& chances are the TR feeds are already in Itunes software on our computers to start with!

the reason behind it is so i cant give you my ipod full of music and allow you to put it on your computer. its a method of copyright protection.... to prevent mass files sharing.

the ipod ONLY contains whats in your iTunes library. the only other way to get something on it is to enable disk mode and place data on it like a hard drive, but that info is not available to be played even if it was an MP3 file

i haven't made the official announcement yet, but i guess now is as good of time as any.
as mentioned in the latest show, due to legal issues that have been brought to my attention, i am being forced to cancel this contest.

i will be working to bring different style contests in the near future, but unfortunately i cant continue with this on
