after a second look, it is possible that you have a soft coral commonly called cabbage leather, lettuce coral, or leather carnation.

thanks walrus it is a cabbage leather. i found a picture that looks just like it.. :-)

Yup looks like a cabbage coral(Sinularia dura), it is hard to tell from the picture though.
