ok a friend of mine has one of these skimmers

i cant find any info on it, and our question is. can we use this without putting it in a sump or refugium? meaning under the tank with a pump hooked up with a inlet and return?

this is probably a stupid question but im still learning :-)

that one is nautilus TE, for in sump only. there is a nautilus EX for internal or external use. good skimmers. had both before.
