I am almost ready to order my starter cultures and begin my Phyto-Pharm. I am not sure which culture I should order. Is there one that you would recommend over another? My current setup simply has soft corals with shrimp, a few fish and some snails. I would like to have SPS or LPS corals in the future. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had the best luck using a strain of Nannochloropsis given to me by a fellow reefer. It is a good micron size and is hearty. Best not to mix strains as the larger always wins.

i agree with Dave, this is the strain i use also, and have had good luck with it

Great info Maurader! I think I will start with on culture and add another as I go. What did you end up doing?

Nothing as yet. I'm currently prioritising all the weird and wonderful projects I have floating in my head.
1. T5 Lighting
2. Build new sump
3. Remove current internal sump/filter partition to get more space.
4. Create evil minion to go forth and do my bidding
5. Clean the toilet (actually... the minion can do that)
6. Buy a litre of milk for breakfast
7. Build phyto culture station

6)Research Seahorse tank for kids.
