ok i have noticed this within the past week, i also havnt start to spotfeed yet. click the image for a very big close up shot to see better

no, i have just heard of bleeching and wasnt really sure what it looked like and my clown has been kinda anti anemones lately so i wasnt sure if maybe the clear white was a sign of underfeeding or maybe bleeching..

if your
bta was red to begin with then id say its not normal.
bta can sometime lose color when stressed.

no its has always been white just not that clear looking white. almost transparent

if it was white before, it seems like it is gaining color.

65watt power compact, daylight 8hrs/actinic 10hrs and lunar the rest

I would look into kicking the lighting up a noch. It wouldn't hurt since I see that your corals do look quite beautiful in the photograph within your signature. Also spot feeding is always welcomed by corals. I feed my corals cyclopeeze with a daily spot feeding. They love it.

buying a new light or upping the daylight time? my tank is only 16 inches high 65watt penatrate the sandbed very nicely..
