Looking to ID this guy
Not sure if this little guy is a coral or an anemone. He has been on the rock since I’ve had that piece, (about 6 weeks). Never actively feed it until today, squirted some brine shrimp at it and seemed to get stuck in its tentacles and then it closed around it. Closes up into a ball shortly after the main tank light comes on, then reopens at night. I guess he has been eating pods all this time and within the last couple weeks a few more have popped up.
Taking all ideas on what he is…
Thanks

They are kinda pretty. I can understand how a reefer would let those grow without thinking twice.

me neither, but it looks more anemone-ish than coral-ish.
Keep a close watch on them if they are growing fast.

Not sure where that rock came from. I will ask the folks at the
LFS where I got it, but I’m sure they won’t know or remember.
At first I thought it might be ricordea, but after looking at every picture of ricordea on the web (at least I feel like I did), it doesn’t have the same characteristics. But it does have some similarities to an anemone.

Pseudocorynactis caribbaeorum. I have to do some more research in morning. thanks everyone....
