Definitely would refrain from the bioballs and look into some macro-algae and/or
live rock rubble. I'm doing a
DIY sump from a glass tank and am looking to have both macro and
LR rubble to help filter. Do a search on converting
wet/drys to
sumps here or on Google and I'm sure you will find plenty of pics and info
