In my opinion
wet/drys are okay if you are going to do a fish only tank. If you plan to add any corals you may want to consider adding a
refugium or converting the
wet/dry to one by replacing the bioballs with
LR.
I just setup a new 125L closed-loop system with a
DSB in the main display,
LR, 55G
refugium with LS-Mineral mud, Venturi 250
skimmer,
T5 lighting, etc.
