Ok, here's my problem...
I bought an established system for the rock...very nice stuff lots of big pieces.
I am starting a 30g with a 20g
sump/fuge. The tank has been running for 6 weeks with the rock in it for a month or so. Judging by my off the charts PO, the people I bought the tank from, used well water not
RO/DI. I use only
RO/DI water but my PO tests are off the charts.
The canister filter off the system was also included in the sale My question is, can I use it to make a
DIY Phosban reactor and maybe be able to run carbon as well?
There is nothing in the tank right now except for a ball of cheato and gravel from the rock system in the
fuge to start a
DSB.
I do have some hair algae growth, but no real light yet so nothing serious.
What do you all think?
