Frag tank and maybe a sump?!?

So my 12G nano is still going great. I'd love to upgrade to a bigger tank, but space is limiting me. I also plan on moving to a real house in the next year. Either way, this is not a great time to get my dream tank.

I'm thinking of adding a small frag tank next to my nano. My tank is looking a little packed and I want more room for frags. I have a 150w MH retro fit kit and an extra 12G Aqua-pod hood w/ lights.

Any easy way to add a frag tank to an all in one? My idea requires drilling the nano. I really don't want it bad enough to break the whole tank down for drilling....
