| I'm willing to bet 110 bucks its Cerith snail eggs. A "ribbon" typically doesn't last more than a day; consumed by fish and such. The "move" was just another lay. When snails begin to spawn, it is often a reaction to positive or negative environmental changes. If one begins to spawn, others of its type will do so at the same time, or shortly thereafter.
