I was looking for any recomendations on which style is better or the downfall/bennefits between HQI and socket style metal halides. I am looking at getting a Blue Wave VII - Dual HQI Ballast and Reef Optix III plus HQI Reflector Halide Lamps (two) 250 Watt for a 90 gal mixed coral tank. My LFS buddy believes that the HQI style has not been out long enough and recomends me getting the screw style. I am open to any suggestions.
