Depending on which led strip you are talking about, you may not get the results desired if looking for
actinic supplementation. They are just not bright enough to make a difference. Unless of course they of the 'solaris' led type

T5s and
acros, I did see this one amazing tank that I believe was in Europe somewhere. Amazing colors! If I find the link, I'll be sure to post it. I think your results will vary depending on how you set it up. I do know individual reflectors are a must for the
T5HO instead of the umbrella like reflector.
