Don't use bioballs! They can become a
nitrate factory.
Live rock rubble is a much better idea, plus it gives a nice little hideout for pods to proliferate.
Hmmm...I asked in your other thread. Can you drill the tank? This of course would be the best way to get the water down to the
sump. Otherwise, there are other tricks to use, such as a hang-on-back overflow, such as this:
