If its a mild case of ich the fish may be able to overcome it on their own. They will need to be very well fed on a good mixed diet (not just flake food). Give the tangs lots of greens, like seaweed selects.
However, I would agree that the best way to cure it is
QT with
copper. Just be sure to follow the instructions very carefully. Hypo
IMO is a huge pain and is more stressful than its worth.
