I looked into it, and it seems that the only reason for a UV on an
RO system is to cause the denaturization of the DNA of extremely small biological pathogens such as viruses. If you are running your
RO of of city water I would not worry about getting the UV unit. If you are running off well water I would still not be worried unless you have a know problem with contaminated water. You would have seen those effects on you already.
