power wire repair

not sure were to post this, but it is going to be a diy project..
this last weekend i was added some new rock and noticed that in doing this i must t of scrapped the wire to one of my power heads. and to my supprise there was a bare wire
luckily my critters nor myself did not take a shock

is there a way to repair this wire safely
