 Beware of the nanocube
Two years ago, being a naive freshwater native, I bought a nanocube 24DX. Two years later, after replacing the stock pump which stopped working, as had the fans and moonlights, I updated the extremely insufficient stock lighting with the sunpod 150 (which i highly recomend). A week after I replaced the lights, which had been burning out every 2 months I noticed a large crack on the front of the tank. Three large cracks, actually. I emailed and called JBJ and they didn't respond. I am planning on filing a complaint with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission becasue of the electrical fire risk 24 gallons of spilt salt water poses. I am not the only one with this problem... just search nanocube on the nano-reef.com forums. I strongly urge that if you have a nano-cube, check for cracks immediately. |
