Success at removing copper!

Finally! After 9 months of water changes (30 gallons per week) my 350gal seems to be free of copper!! after 6 months snails would still die in a few days. I was about to give up but then decided to try a product called Cuprasorb from Seachem.

I put a 500mg bottle in for 2 weeks. Then I put a 250 mg in. Actually put the 500mg in too coarse a filterbag and it was sucked up by the sump pumps. Now its in with the rest of the sand.

Knock on wood, I have snails, cleaner shrimp hermits and a arrow crap all living for the past two weeks. Copper tests zero, I still plan on running cuprasorb for the next year just in case some copper is leaching.

Next I plan on making my old LIVE sand Live again.
