chazlightning is on a distinguished road
once the water dumps back into the tank i use 2 Rio 90 powerheads to move it around.

along with the water return and the Rio's i have this unknown powerhead to create some water movement. i will be purchasing bigger more powerfull heads soon.

i have top off water in a 5 gallon bucket, when i need to top off i use another unknown pump to pump it into the sump.

thats it! for now. here is a pic of my Blenny perched on a rock.

the reason why i have unknown pumps is i was given this equipment along with the 55g tank i upgraded from. He is an engineer and can get his hands on some no name pumps and other equipment. so, i am slowly replacing that stuff with new equipment.

i plan on getting a closed loop system going to get some water moving behind all those rocks. there are plenty of places for water to flow through there.

ok, so there it is. the beginings of a marine tank! very begining!

I uploaded my pics to photobucket before i read your post Rob. thanks for the info, i'll use it next time.
