If you are adding room temperature air through the powerhead that would make the tank run a little cooler. You can probably achieve this same effect by buying a small air pump and running the tube from it into the back "sump" area of your tank. If it was me I would put the airline in the middle chamber (I'm guessing that the BioCube has 3 chambers like my NanoCube) so that you aren't pumping them all back into the tank. I think this will look better than pumping air into the tank through the powerhead.
