So, a buddy of mine gave me his 12G nano last night. I've been wanting one for a while, and this puppy is going in my office at work. he took it down several months ago because he didn't have time for it and his
DT. It's a JBJ model I believe, the delux version with 2x24
PC lights, surface
skimmer, Maxijet 600 return, sand, rock, heater, balast, hood, the whole deal. just add water as they say. Here's the questions. The
LR he gave me is not live anymore, which is fine, I know it can be re-seeded from real
LR. How long does that take? I just tossed the
LR in my
sump, will that be good enough, or does it have to be in physical contact with the
LR in my tank? if the
sump is fine, how long should I leave it down there? Other question. Has anyone set up an
ATO on their nano? It doesn't look like it would be particularly hard, just wanted to know if there was anything to watch out for.
Now, I've just got to figure out what I want to put in it
