I've had this anemone for almost 1 year now. When I bought it, I was told it was a White Sebae! The 1st pic is in my first
SW tank, a 10 gallon:
Once I moved it into the 30 gallon it started to change:
This is what it looks like today:
I am pretty proud knowing I did all the right things to save this dying anemone.
The Tomato Clown had a lot to do with it as well. In the first 2-3 months there were many times I was going to pull it, thinking it was a goner for sure! In the 10g it was under
PC CL50/50. When I moved it to the 30 with
t5, it hid under the ledge, in the dark, for 2 weeks. It was an easy move too, the Anemone has a solid footing on the rock, has never moved from it in fact. The clown would not leave the anemone, all my shooing only caused it to bury into its home deeper. I ended up lifting the rock, anemone and clown together into the 30 gallon in one swift move. Slowly, it started coming out in the light, and changed color. I don't spot feed it, the Clown throws out everything or eats it herself. If the Tang gets what she throws out she will steal it back and stuff it in the anemone. I am a confirmed "over-feeder", 2 times daily of mysis, brine, cyclops, plus
DT's every 2-3 days. My livestock is all thriving, my water is perfect. I change the flow in my tank at least once a week, 4-7 gallon water change weekly, 1/2 to 1 gallon fresh
RO water top off just about every night.
