| You can do it with a screw driver but its a bit of a mess and you can also break more than you want. I wouldn't try this because you are actually breaking the plastic in a uncontrolled way. If you use a pair of wire cutters or garden shears you are controlling the break a lot better and in turn it will be neater and won't take an eye out. If you want to practice cut the first row off so you can see how it will split.
