| Big apologies for taking so long to get back to you! All I know about this algae is that it is a dinoflagellate and bioluminesces(?sp). I know that many dinos are considered to be very nutritious and have been cultured to feed copepods. A number of dinos are also associate/responsible for the red tides. I performed a quick literature search and did not find anything about nutrition or toxicity. Regardless, it could be very cool to have this in a tank. We do not have cultures of this one, but do have other dinos. They are mediocre growers for us. How did you come across this one?
