The phyto can be poured directly in. the Rotifers need to be filterd as i showed in the video. for brine shrimp and rotifers, you want to add them to the tank, not the water they culture in.

the culture media is used by the phyto. the the phyto is used by rotifers.
you only add culture media to the phyto. you "can" add it to the rotifers, but it won't "feed" them, only the phyto in there

no, you want to keep the brine shrimp and rotifers separate or below the phyto, or you will likely run into cross contamination issues and phyto culture crashes
