Amphibious is on a distinguished road
Past due for an update. Here it is.

In April '06 I began purchasing Limited Edition Corals. This series of posts will feature some of them from time of purchase to date.

This frag is Steve Tyree's Limited Edition (LE) Bali Tricolor. It was one of my first corals from Steve and my first Limited Edition coral. I was shocked when I first saw it. After talking with Steve about the size and price ($65) I accepted the fact that the LE sellers have a corner on the market and dictate conditions. I bought eleven LE corals that first purchase. I must mention, Steve did give me a "Good Customer" discount.

This is how the coral looked in June It had grown and colored up nicely. The tank lighting consisted of a 72" Aquactinic W/3 175 watt 10K and 4 39 watt Actinic bulbs. September 26, '06 I switched to the 72" Solaris LED system, 250 watt 20K programmable.

Here is how the coral looks today six weeks into the Solaris LED lighting system. I'm seeing better coralite growth, color and polyp extension under the Solaris. All of my corals seem to love this LED light. Looking forward to even better results with future improvements.
