Amphibious is on a distinguished road
Thanks, Carmie. I'm afraid it was blind luck, mostly. I do pay very close attention to my tank, peering in all the time looking for cool things to photograph. The crab was under a flat frag rock barely visible. If he hadn't moved I might not have seen him. When he moved I looked closer and couldn't believe it was him. I wanted a picture first and foremost because at that moment I hadn't realized how easy it was going to be to get him.

I snapped two pictures and then it dawned on me, I could move the MH light fixture, if I could remove the frag rock without driving him deeper into the rock work, I could simply lift the rock from the aquarium. If I was lucky he'd hide within the rock and not move deeper and drop into the lower rock work. I got a bowl to catch water and him if he decided to vamoose. I lifted the rock, set it into the bowl, sat down at my desk and peered into the holes in the rock. Bingo, there he was hiding in a cave. I got my handy little pick and coaxed him out into the dish. He was mine! No more killing fish in my tank.
