don't know about the pump, but the baffles are based on how many section you want to have, beit a section for
LR, another for
macro algae etc... if oyu only want 3 sections, 2 is fine.
In my opinion there is no distinct guideline to the blueprint of a
sump or
fuge, and like the person making the system, each
sump/fuge is unique. So if you feel you'd like another section for this, and another one for that, go for it.
of course, thats just me
