Amphibious is on a distinguished road
This one is Acropora loisettae, the Steve Elias Staghorn

For those who are not familiar with Limited Edition corals, Steve Tyree and others get their hands on some of the most beautiful corals that come into the USA because they live out in CA. Over the years they have gotten into the LA wholesalers and cherry picked the incoming corals. They have formed a coral growers coop and share these precious corals among themselves so that if someone has a wipe out of a coral or system as far as that goes, they can get these corals from members of the coop and begin again. I'm not sure it works exactly that way but close.

Anyway, Steve limits the number of frags he sells from each mother colony to usually one a month. some slow growers are every other month. You reserve your frag by contacting steve and he assigns a frag month to you and you wait until that month. He's reserved out two, three and four years on some corals.

This coral came in quite large compared to all the others I've received from Steve Tyree. This was $70 and is a Limited Edition coral. It's a fast grower as you can see. First the original......

It stood about three inches tall and in excellent condition. Now three month's later.....

Acropora loisettae today. That's pretty impressive growth, IMHO.

I could actually trim a frag or two off at this point but, I'm not.
