nudibranchs or other possible zoo pests that make them close up. also, it could be possible of a toxin or other water parameter was out of whack. I can usually tell when to do a water change when the zoos start to look "sad"....great indicator species. as for the algae, if its a new tank....just keep cleaning and it will pass. one of those cycles our tanks go through on the way to maturity. mine went to a bryopsis phase and is finally coming around...
