Thanks for the nice words. After the podcast on photography, got me wanting to play with some of the "fancy" stuff like fixed aperture.

Sort of brought back memories with my 35mm SLR in the front yard with the yard light turned off, back in high school. Nice and black, put the camera on a tripod...lock it open while focused on the North star....come back in 30min to release it. Somewhere I have two pretty neat pics of that night...with the stars starting to circle the North star. Even had a plane fly through on one of them....made for some interesting results.

So, thought I'd see what mess I could get myself into with the digital camera while on vacation. The nice thing about these digital cameras, you can see the results right away. Plus, all the info is recorded into the image file via EXIF like the aperture, shutter speed, etc.

maybe I'll fiddle with one or two in Photoshop and see what kind of "postcard" I can come up with. LOL
